Y is the Peace Sign (A Rebuttal)
Unbeknownst to me and us, something comical happened last night...
Here is the set up to the story (from Traci's perspective)
Here is how it went down from my perspective:
Dexter and I were asleep in bed. Sometime in the night, Traci comes in giggling...
Me: "What's so funny?"
Traci: "I drew the peace sign upside down" (At least, I thought that's what she said).
Me: "Y is the peace sign upside down." (the witty humor not quite up to snuff when I'm mostly a sleep)
Traci: "garble...garble...garble" (obviously not understanding nor responding to what I am saying)
Me: "No, Y is the peace sign upside down! Grunt!" (repeat with emphasis this time)
Traci: "okay..."
I fall back asleep, leaving Traci puzzled for the next half an hour.
This is one example of the type of miscommunications we've had in our marriage. (Though most of them don't end with us rolling on the ground laughing at ourselves the next day. But then again, I don't blog about most of our other miscommunications.)
